California consistently ranks in the bottom 10 states in per-pupil funding for TK-12 education. State funding for education is so low that school districts can only provide basic services.
Although Malibu Elementary School is a public school, parents and the community need to financially support the school to fill the gap and provide the programs and tools our kids usually every day. ​

Many of the programs that makes a school special and give our students the additional tools for learning is paid for with donations and fundraising efforts. It is critical that every family participates in the fundraising effort in a way that works for them. If it’s writing a check, getting donations, attending fundraisers, or volunteering to help with fundraisers, please do so.
